A peek inside
Walk, Tap, Done.
One button gets you started. Everything else is optional, and quietly there when you want it.
A tiny moment
Tap the button. That's it.
Open MossMug. Tap I Walked Today! The dashboard switches to "you walked today" and shows your progress: total days walked, the next milestone, and a calendar that just got one greener tile.
Around the block or fifty minutes through the park, if it felt like a walk to you, it counts. No GPS or step counting required. Multiple walks in one day are welcome, and a gentle save animation plays while your walk is logged.
A little reflection
Add a quick memory, if you want.
After a walk, an "Add to this walk" button appears. Tap it to pick a mood, write a short note, or attach a photo. Skip the lot and the walk still counts.
Pick from five moods, from Great down to Hard day. Add a short note if you want to remember more than just "I walked." A photo from your camera roll is one tap away.
Footprints
Your whole walk history in one place.
Footprints is where every walk lives. Total walks, days walked, this month, this year. A walk journal showing every entry with its mood, note, and photo. A calendar you can page through month by month. Edit or delete past walks whenever you like.
Milestones
Real markers, not daily resets.
When you reach a milestone number of days walked, MossMug marks the moment with a small in-place celebration. The headline scoreboard counts distinct days walked, so missed days never erase your total. Take a week off and your count is right where you left it. No daily chain to protect, just markers along the way.
That's the heart of it. From here on, it's about making MossMug feel a little more like yours.
Trail
A path that grows with you.
Your Trail is an illustrated landscape that extends with every walk. Along the way, you stumble on small discoveries: a curious rabbit, a perfect stick, a stunning sunrise. They land in your Discovery Journal.
Discoveries arrive at random and come with rarity levels, so a "once in a season" find feels properly special.
Achievements & Rewards
Little surprises earned just by walking.
Achievements come in many flavors: walking on a particular weekday, walking through a season, hitting consecutive days, walking at a specific time of day, comebacks, and more. Some are right there to see. Some are hidden until you stumble into them.
Many achievements unlock rewards: color themes for your walk button, icons that go inside it, and palettes that recolor your dashboard and public profile. Pick whichever you like in Settings.
Walking Circles
Walk alongside people you know.
A Walking Circle is a small private group with friends, family, or coworkers. Each day the circle shows a simple checkmark next to everyone who walked. No scores. No rankings. Just a quiet shared habit.
Glance at the circle to see who walked today. Leave a short message or send a reaction if the moment calls for it. Plenty of room for a whole household, a close-knit team, or just your two best walking friends.
Friends
Connect with friends. Send a high five.
Add walking friends by username or by sharing your invite link. From your friends list you can see who walked today and send a high five (✋) when they log a walk. A small nudge that says "I see you, keep going." Or keep MossMug entirely private. Friends are off until you add one.
Public Profile
Share your walking journey, on your terms.
Pick a username and you get a public profile at mossmug.com/@yourname. You decide what's visible: stats, achievements, trail, calendar, or some combination. Share the link with friends or post it anywhere you like. Public profile is off by default and can be turned back off any time.
What's always there
These three things won't change, no matter what else we add later.
