A peek inside
Walk, Tap, Done.
MossMug isn't a fitness tracker. It's a cozy home for your walks, with one button, no step goals, and zero pressure to show up every day.
Logging a walk
Tap the button. That's it.
Open MossMug. Tap I Walked Today! The dashboard switches to "you walked today", your total days walked ticks up, and one more green tile lands on your calendar.
You decide what counts as a walk. Around the block, fifty minutes through the park, a slow lap of the garden, if it felt like a walk to you, it counts. No GPS, no step counting, and up to ten walks a day if you need them.
A little reflection
A mood, a note, a tag. If you want.
After a walk, an "Add a little reflection" button appears. Tap it to pick a mood, the weather, or how warm it felt, write a short note or one good thing you noticed, or add your own tags.
Tags are labels you make yourself, like With dog, Solo time, or Mobility aid, so the walks that share a theme are easy to find later. Create them once in Settings, then tap to add any of them to a walk. Each tag is private by default; mark one public to let it show on walks other people can see.
Skip the lot and the walk still counts. MossMug is here to remember what you want remembered, not to ask for more.
The trail
Discover things along the trail.
As you walk, an illustrated trail grows behind you, and every so often you find something on it: a wildflower, a pinecone, a glowing mushroom, once in a blue moon something rare.
Each find settles into your collection on its own, nothing to chase or unlock. Just a small, happy surprise for having gone outside.
Photos and Memories
Add a photo. Or three.
Saw something worth keeping? An "Add a photo" button appears right next to the reflection one, and every walk can hold up to three photos: the light through the trees, your dog mid-zoom, the coffee you earned afterwards. Give each one a few words if you like.
Your photos gather into Memories, a gallery of where your walks have taken you. Yours alone, unless you decide to share one.
Walk together
Walking Circles.
A Walking Circle is a small, private group: your partner, your family, a few friends, a team at work. Everyone just taps their own button, and each walk lands in the circle's shared feed.
No ranking, no comparing, no pressure. Walk today, or don't; the circle only ever shows the walks that happened. Just a little company, and a good excuse to say "let's both get out today."

A few more corners to find.
Still just that one button at the heart of it. The rest is there whenever you want it, and it never asks for more.
Footprints
Your walk journal, calendar, totals, and milestones in one place. Miss a week and nothing resets, your progress waits for you.
Personal touches
Achievements can unlock button themes, icons, palettes, avatar frames, and cozy music tracks that make MossMug feel more like yours.
The Meadow
A feed of walks from across MossMug, anonymous by default. No comments, just a small heart and the sense that others are out walking too. Some walkers choose to show who they are.
Paths
Walks worth taking and places worth walking to, written up by the walkers who know them. No distances or timings, just where to start and what to look out for. Borrow one, or share your own.
Cozy music
Soft instrumental tracks to play while you visit, if you like. It stays off until you press play, and more unlock as you walk.
Friends and a public profile are opt-in too, and everything stays private until you decide to share.
What you won't find here
Negative space, on purpose. This is a walking app without scores, pressure, or noise.
- Pressure chains
- Daily resets
- Distance goals
- Step counts
- GPS tracking
- Leaderboards
- Ads or data sales
- Guilt trips
What's always there
These three things won't change, no matter what else we add later.
Yours, by default
MossMug doesn't track your location. Public profile, friends, and circles are all opt-in.
Pressure-free
No leaderboards, no daily resets, no guilt. Take a week off and your progress is still here, waiting for you.
Free to use
No credit card, no questionnaire, no upsell. Every feature in MossMug is free today, and if that ever changes, you'll hear it from us well before it does.
Come on in.
Your first walk can be five minutes around the block. We'll be here when you get back.
